With snow in the air, we left Gallup for St. Thomas Aquinas School in Rio Rancho, just outside of Albuquerque. A Resident, Lorraine Torres, who had lived in Rio Rancho for many years, joined me in picking ups items such as shampoo, soap, body wash, and much more that the students collected.
Although we come each year, there is always a new group of young people, and all show much generosity in sharing with our Residents. These items are needed so much in caring for our elderly.
It is always so nice to pick up at a school; since the students are there to help load our van. Their teacher, Ms. Joanne Rickard, is always attentive for those boxes that needed two people to carry them, so that the students learn to help one another. Each year you can see it is giving out of love!
