We had the great joy of welcoming two seminarians, Christophe and Sam, from the seminary in Denver. Christophe, originally from the Congo and studying for the Archdiocese of Denver, always wanted to become a priest! Sam is originally from California and is studying for the Diocese of Helena, Montana (after going to Carroll College with the intent to go on to Medical School), and his life changed after becoming active with student ministry.
They are both in their first year of seminary life and, during their month long break, they were sent to us to both pray and work. Their first week with us has been spent helping in the kitchen doing many tasks, especially helping with cleaning the freezers and refrigerators. They have also had contact with the Residents in their activity program such as playing Bingo, Karaoke and serving the Residents in the dining room.
Having two seminarians with us we realize the importance to pray for vocations for the priesthood and the Consecrated Life. We thank our seminarians for saying “Yes” to a call to the priesthood and we pray for them in their journey towards the Ordination!
