One of the groups that come to us every year during the summer, doing service projects is from St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Gilbert, Arizona. This year they asked to make a weekend retreat in which they would join the Little Sisters and Residents for prayer time (Mass, Evening Prayer, and Rosary). They also asked to do an activity with our Residents, so they decided to play “Bingo.”
Many of the young people that came this weekend are discerning their vocation. Several are thinking of the priesthood and several of the young women feel that God is calling them to the Consecrated Life.
On their last evening with us, they asked to speak to the Sisters, to ask questions about Consecrated Life. We were very fortunate to have a seminarian with us that also told them about his journey to the seminary.
As we pray in a special way during this year for the Consecrated Life, we pray in a special way for these young people, for their discernment for the Consecrated Life and the priesthood.
