After much necessary work was done in our chapel here at Villa Guadalupe, the whole house was somewhat displaced, by celebrating Mass in the auditorium this last month.
Our chapel received new flooring, this time a ceramic tile that was felt would last much longer. Also there were repairs to be made on the altar and the ambo that have been needed.
Finally all the work was finished, so on November 16th Bishop James Wall came to consecrate the ambo and altar. In his Homily Bishop said that during this “Year of Faith” is important to remember the importance of the Mass, since it is a “guaranteed” way to Christ. The ambo is from where the Word of God is proclaimed, while the altar is where we have the “Breaking of the Bread”. Both help to strengthen our faith.
