We had an unexpected visitor on June 21st, the Pilgrim image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The Knights of Columbus have three Pilgrim images of Our Lady of Guadalupe that travel in the Dioceses (and Parishes) of the United States, theses images have been blest by Our Holy Father, Benedict XVI. These Pictures are brought around the different Parishes by the by the Knights. When they know that a Church might be locked during the day, they bring it to a Religious Houses so that there will be someone to pray to our Lady.
The Knights brought us Our Lady for two days, so that our Residents would be able to pray through her intercession, for our Country. We have several Residents that are either born in Mexico or families came from there.
Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Patroness of the Americas, but also the Patroness of the unborn. We were happy to have Our Lady of Guadalupe as we began to pray for our Religious Freedom as we began the “Fortnight of Freedom” which began June 22nd and closes on July 4th.
