We had the great joy of having Bishop James S. Wall celebrate Mass for the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which is the feast of our home. After Mass we gathered outside the chapel, where Bishop Wall first blessed a picture of the Sacred Heart and then enthroned it, consecrating our home to the Sacred Heart.
Our Mother Foundress St. Jeanne Jugan had a deep devotion to the Sacred Heart, and our Congregation has been consecrated to the Sacred Heart on several occasions.
When Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary he told her that he “would bless the home in which the image of the Sacred Heart would be honored.” The enthronement is a reminder that Jesus alone is the King and the Head of our family here at Villa Guadalupe and that Jesus is among us always!
