We had the great joy of having students from Bishop Carroll High School in Wichita. These students have come on their spring break the last few years. The boys go to different projects in the Gallup area, while the girls come to help us in many different projects at Villa Guadalupe. They worked outside, cleaning the statue of St Jeanne Jugan and art projects with the Residents. When asked what they enjoyed during their week at Villa Guadalupe they all said “The Residents.” Their second part of their week was being with the Sisters.
They were also able to participate at the Mass of St. Joseph at our Home. The day they left we met them at the “Mass of Thanksgiving” for our New Holy Father, Pope Francis, our celebrant was Bishop Wall at our Cathedral. We hope to see them again next year!
