Here at Villa Guadalupe we have kept the tradition of inviting the priests in the area for the Mass in honor of St Joseph, followed by the priests serving the Residents their dinner. The priests in Gallup always look forward to coming for our celebration each year. This year Bishop Wall was not able to participate, yet the priests from the Cathedral, our own Pastor, and a visiting priest who had a group of high school students from Wichita on a mission trip in Gallup celebrated the Mass then on to the dining room.
St Jeanne Jugan had a great devotion to St. Joseph. This devotion of St Joseph has been passed down to today. Each day we pray through the intercession of St Joseph for our Benefactors, the Church, and our Congregation of Little Sisters of the Poor.
