After six years of loving service, Mother Andrea will be leaving us at the end of April.
We had the great joy of having Bishop James S. Wall celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving. Many joined us to thank Mother and to assure her of our prayers for her. Benefactors, friends and families of Residents came along with a large representation of priests and religious, including the Blessed Sacrament Sisters (St. Katharine Drexel’s community) and Missionaries of Charities (Mother Teresa’s Sisters) joined us.
During these six years Mother Andrea has touched many people, showing the beautiful charism of St. Jeanne Jugan in caring for the elderly with so much love and concern for them.
Our Home here in Gallup is so special as we serve many from the Navajo Nation. We know that Mother Andrea will miss our little Mission Home, yet she will carry it in a very special way in her heart.
