Every year we have groups of students that come to volunteer in our Home during their spring break. The group that usually signs up first each year is “Missionary Outreach” from University of Steubenville. While they are with us they do many things in our Home and other sites here in Gallup. One day they go to Zuni to give a day of retreat to the children in Zuni.
This year, since it has been a bit cold here in Gallup they had several indoor jobs. They were able to paint the radiators in the Residents rooms, cleaning the ceiling vents and helping the Residents with “Card Making.” They all enjoyed working with the “Card Making,” since this was a good opportunity to work with the Residents.
We hope to see them again next year!
