Although digging and loosening the soil to prepare it for the corn we wish to plant and sanding the boxes in which vegetables will be planted (“Phase Three” of the garden project), were the main projects that the St Margaret Mary’s Youth Group from Cortez, Colorado worked at, some of the students worked inside stamping addresses on envelopes.
Yet all came in to have a Bingo, either calling the numbers or helping the Residents. The students took time to get to know the Residents, talking to them at the table. Before they left us, they wrote down names of the Residents that they made friends with and pictures were taken of them with our Residents to remember them.
