We are celebrating not one, but two, big anniversaries and we want you to join us!
The Little Sisters celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the Congregation’s arrival in America. This is a very special time for the Little Sisters all over the country.
Our Mother Foundress, Saint Jeanne Jugan, has a special love for the American people and it has been our pleasure to serve under her spirituality on these shores. Her love for this country has helped us grow to 27 Homes across the country.
As Archbishop Spalding said around the time we arrived in 1858, “The Little Sisters of the Poor are called to do a great deal of good in America, not only among the poor, but also among the rich; for words no longer suffice – works are necessary.”
In addition to this great occasion, this year also marks Villa Guadalupe’s 35th Anniversary. In all the time that the Little Sisters have been serving the elderly in this Home, the people of Gallup and the neighboring areas have been so helpful and supportive of our mission.
We are deeply grateful to all of you who made it possible for us to reach this milestone.
