As the time is getting close to “Prom Nights’ and Graduation in many high schools, we had the joy of having the Honor Students from St. Michael, the Indian School, come for “Prom Night” with our Residents.
The theme this year was a “Hoedown.” The students came in the morning to help decorate the auditorium, joined us for Mass and to serve the Residents their noon meal, so that they could get to know the Residents.
Almost all the Residents came to the auditorium to either dance, if in a wheel chair they danced in their wheel-chairs, with their partners and some just enjoyed watching the dancing.
There were a couple who danced every dance or at least most of the dances, but one could say that both young and old enjoyed the evening!
