The “Good Samaritan” was the subject of a puppet show that the Hope Christian School, a Middle School from Albuquerque, preformed for the Residents of Villa Guadalupe. The young people made it the “News of the Day,” with a news reporter and two “investigating reporters” that went out into the audience to question them as to what they saw and asking the audience if they felt if it was right for the different characters to pass by the man who had been “mugged.” All entered into the show! There was also great singing and a skit was performed.
After the entertainment, the young people took time to speak to the Residents; they even learned how to say “Hello” in Navajo when they learned there were a couple of our Navajo Residents who do not speak any English. All enjoyed the afternoon, since the students from Hope Christian School brought much joy and enthusiasm with them.
